Fillings
At the Dental Spa, we’re happy to provide our patients with tooth-colored fillings when we find a spot of decay. This newer method of treating cavities offers a number of advantages over metal amalgam fillings, as follows:
- Our patients love the way these white fillings look. When our patients smile or laugh, they no longer show metal fillings.
- These fillings don’t darken the way metal fillings did. They remain bright and white.
- The composite resin used for tooth-colored fillings bonds to tooth tissue better than metal fillings did. We don’t have to drill a tooth as long or as deeply. We only clean out the decay and replace it with this durable resin.
Dental science has advanced to the point that composite resin fillings can last as long as the older metal fillings. Just be sure to keep your cleanings and examinations up to date!
